Disgusting Bug (or what's left of him)

Check out what we found today. What really bothers me is that this bug is alive....and he's getting bigger.....

Again, welcome to life in Pennsylvania. That's a cicada bug, and they come out in the summer. Eventually they will shed their "skin" and you will find the shells EVERYWHERE (mostly attached to tree bark or at the bottom of trees when they fall down). Audrey LOVES to look for cicada shells and then she saves them all in a bug catcher ... yuck. Oh, and watch out for an even bigger bug ... the cicada killer bug. Although it IS kind of cool to watch the killer bug swoop down and attack the cicada in mid-air ... sorry I know that's kind of gross that I just wrote that! :)
