The New Pool

Sadly, or old pool was poked by something. We came out in the morning and the bottom 2 rings were totally deflated. :( So we had to buy a new one. We decided to upgrade a tad since it's super hot now and we were having to drain and re-fill the old pool about every 2-3 days. It was a total pain. Now we have a filter and chemicals (I'm not too thrilled about the chemicals part, but it's solving some of the problems we were having before) and the new pool is proving to be a pain in its own sort of way. (e.g., dealing with filters and balancing PH and stuff like that.) BUT, we don't have to drain and fill it constantly which is good considering it holds over 500 gallons of water.

The kids LOVE it! It's a little deeper than the old one and they pretty much spend the majority of the time under water. I even get in it. It's just the right depth for me to sit on the bottom. The water comes just below my chin. It's really more like a hot tub than a pool!

actually, i think you are being steamed. standing on dry ground but slowly being cooked by all the surrounding hot moisture. i think WE are being broiled. it's as dry as an oven over here. i can feel the moisture being sucked from my body. gone. before i even have a chance to feel any relief from my own sweat. :( although, being sweaty really sucks. sorry for you.

ummm kaylee...it looks like your kids have shriveled a little. you might want to take them out of the water more often...just sayin'

I think that you should put fish in your pool, and the boys can try to catch them with their bare hands. I think that sounds like a lot of fun.

i said something about roasting tonight as we sat outside while jayden played in our pathetic little blow up pool on the deck that pretty much only has room in it for our feet and the temp online said it was 86 but that it felt like it was 94. i said, 'dang i am roasting' and royal said, 'no not roasting, more like we're being poached'. ha ha ha. he thinks just like you. :)
