Let the Traveling Begin...

This evening I am hopping on a plane and heading to Seattle. The boys are all staying behind. Rand, to finish up his last 2 nights of work....HALLELUJAH!!!...and pack up the rest of the house of course. And the two little boys to spend their last weekend sleeping over at Grandpa Mike's. (Until we come back to visit....don't worry Grandpa, we'll be back for sleepovers.)
Sunday, my sister Joanna and I are throwing a baby shower for my other sister, Rachel who will be in WA visiting from her new home in Wichita, KS. Rachel is pregnant with her 2nd kiddo and the first GIRL grand-baby in the family! Yay, more for the girl side! Rachel went into labor (very unexpectedly) 3 weeks early when she had her first, Jayden. She was supposed to have a baby shower that weekend but obviously that didn't happen. Fortunately, she had a boy (I had already had 2 boys) so there was PLENTY of hand-me downs for little Jayden. UN-fortunately her baby shower never got rescheduled. SO, Rachel is very deserving of this shower and I hope she gets lots of pink dresses and bows and all other things girly!
Joanna's birthday is coming up too (9/11) so I'm sure we'll have to celebrate that as well since we will all be together. Jordan will be home for a bit just before he starts his last year at Portland State in the architecture program. Do I sense an east coast graduate program in the future???? I'm looking forward to spending some time with my siblings before we all disperse to our own little corners of the country. It's a good time for that.
I fly back to AZ on Wednesday and then we get really serious! Friday we are having a "going away" get together with all of our friends, and our kids friends. Saturday we pack up the truck and Sunday morning, bright and early, we hit the road. We're heading to Wichita to spend a little time with Rachel and her family at her house and also pick up Joanna from the airport there. Joanna will be my driving/entertaining-the-children buddy the rest of the way to Phoenixville! Whew! It's going to be busy, crazy, long, tiring, fun and exciting for the next 2 weeks. I'm ready to get on with it.
See you PNW people soon!

You forgot to mention that you would be taking notes of all the great fishing destinations that you pass.
